Thousands converged on the exhibition grounds across the day with the crowd steadily building in readiness for the Smash up Derby which provided a fitting climax to proceedings.
Other day two highlights included the Grand Parade, Senior division of the Young Farmers’ Challenge, and Walter Whip again treated onlookers to his whip cracking and fire stunt show.
Another magic moment was provided by the girls and boys from the Danae Cantwell School of Dance, who performed several pieces for the audience in the main ring.
Instructor Danae Cantwell said her charges did a tremendous job in difficult conditions for dancing.
Meanwhile, the fun and excitement continued on Sideshow Alley as revellers made the most of the games and amusement rides.
