The Macleay Valley Rangers sent a message to the rest of the teams in the Women’s Northern League competition after hammering the defending champions the Wauchope Waratahs 5-1 on Saturday.

The victory keeps the Rangers in second place on the ladder and sets up a top of the table show down with Port United this Saturday.
Port United are in first place and are undefeated in their four games this season, scoring 13 goals and only conceding one.
The Rangers had a slow start to the season after playing out a 1-1 draw with the Stingers in their first game but since then they have been dynamic in front of goal.
The side has scored 20 goals and conceded only the one goal in their past three games.
Meanwhile the South West Rocks Stingers earned a 2-1 win over Port FC, Kempsey Saints Green cruised to a 7-0 victory over Camden Haven Redbacks and Port United handed the Upper Macleay Yowies a 4-0 defeat.
Kempsey Saints White had the bye for round five.
The wins for the Stingers and Saints Green lift them to third place on the ladder on equal competition points.
Kempsey Saints White are in fifth position after receiving three-competition points for the bye while the Upper Macleay Yowies sit in equal last spot and are winless this season.
