It was an evenly matched contest for the majority of the first half with both sides fending off their opponents attacks.
However, Melville broke the deadlock minutes before the half-time whistle when Hannah Bannerman capitalised on a mix up between Bellingen’s defenders and goal keeper.
The goal sparked Bellingen into life and they equalised before the break.
Melville were sluggish to start the second half and Bellingen capitalised to take a 3-1 lead.
Melville began to find their feet and pressured the Bellingen goal for the final 15-minutes of the game.
They ensured it would be a grand stand finish when Alyce Morn converted from the penalty spot with two-minutes remaining but they weren’t able to find an equaliser.
Bellingen advance through to the next stage of the Bill Turner Trophy.
