Two homes were destroyed while another suffered severe smoke damage.
A fourth home was destroyed last Thursday morning.
Kempsey Fire and Rescue responded to a call at 8.54pm on Saturday and arrived to find a property on Middleton St fully involved with fire.
Extra precaution was used as there was two 45kg gas bottles on the premises and it forced the firefighters to battle the blaze from a distance.
Three firetrucks were used to fight the fire and they were successful in containing the fire to the property but the home was completely destroyed.
Kempsey Fire and Rescue were called to two separate fires at adjacent buildings in Francis Smith Place at 12.41am on Sunday.
Upon arrival, one house was fully involved in the fire while the fire in the other home was contained to the kitchen.
Firefighters battled the two blazers from the exterior.
The fire in the kitchen was quickly extinguished while the other house fire was contained but the property was destroyed.
The homes were unoccupied.
Acting Station Commander Dallas Hegerty told the Argus he was proud of the efforts of his team.
“Our crews have been stretched recently but I want to emphasis that they have all done a great job and I am very proud of them,” Mr Hegerty said.
The cause of all of the fires was unable to be determined and it has been passed over to the police for further investigations.
