The event will commence from the Kempsey Golf Club at 2pm and the 29 entered crews will contest six competitive stages, three daylight and three at night, within Tamban and Ingalba state forests, totalling at 102 kilometres.
Teams will be led away by the current Australian Rally Champion, Nathan Quinn, of Coffs Harbour. He will compete in his classic Maza RX2, a car very similar to the one his father Martin used to win this even back in 1988 – 30 years ago.
Chasing hard will be veteran driver Scott McCloy of Nabiac, driving a Subaru WRX, while starting from third will be Inverell’s David Opie in an EVO 4.
Another driver looking for a strong result out of position four will be the former Quinn Evo9 in the hands of Coffs Harbour driver Steve Arthur.
A gaggle of rapid 2WD cars then make up the top 10, including Brett Bower, Brett Wright, Craig Kenchington and another former winner in Garry Yeomans, this time in a classic Datsun 1600.
First time Macksville driver James Collits make his rally debut in a Datsun 180B with his father Lindsay bringing a load of experience from the co-drivers side.
Two spectator points are available and instructions can be found at Cellarbrations West Kempsey or at the start of the venue on race day.
