Last year the team from Kempsey Heights Bowling Club raised $17,400 for the children’s ward and this year are aiming even higher.

The hospital received an emergency airway tool that was donated last year for the children’s ward and this year they hope to raise funds to purchase a range of equipment.
Emergency Department:
- Magnifying headlamp
- Television, X-box games console, two controllers and games
Physiotherapy:
- Jenx Corner Seat – supports paediatric patients long sitting positions during feeding/therapy
- Paediatric Mobiliser (walking frame)
- Nurmi Neo Walking Aid
- Two Airex Hercules Therapy Mats
- Panasonic Lumix Camera for recording of paediatric development to liaise with John Hunter Hospital and Sydney Paediatric specialists
Maternity:
- PeriLynx System – Quantitative fetal Fibronectin Analyser, Printer and Scanner (assists with predicting spontaneous preterm birth before 34 weeks of gestation)
- Philips FM30 Fetal Monitor
Paediatric Occupational Therapy
- Sensory tools
The full wish list of equipment for Kempsey District Hospital totals $24,110.
Locals can still enter a team, it costs $50 for a team of four with registration closing at 4pm on Friday.
