Kempsey High School students Lachlan Cooper and Cody Griffin claimed the silver medal for the Combined High Schools Boys Pairs Championships in Lawn Bowls at Warilla yesterday.

There was 16 schools competing for the gold medal and Cooper and Cody defeated three sides in the knockout carnival to reach the final.
The duo were defeated by the home side the Warilla High School 23-7 in the final.
Cooper and Cody defeated Sydney North 16-6 in the first round, held off Hunter Sports High 15-11 in the quarterfinals and were too good for Sydney West in a 22-11 win in the semi-final.
The pair have teamed up to play before but this is the first time they have earned a CHS medal.
The Year 12 students enjoyed the experience and are hoping to earn a gold medal when they team up with Callum Clarke for the CHS Triple Lawn Bowls Championships next week.
