The side has struggled this season and hasn’t registered a victory in the first grade competition.
However, after dropping their reserve grade side for the rest of the season, the Mustangs produced one of their best performances of the year in their 46-30 loss on the road to the Taree City Bulls.
The side was also without two of their best players with Mal Webster and Nathan Davis unavailable for selection.
The pair are expected to return this weekend.
The Sharks are in second last position on the ladder but they had six competition points deducted earlier this year.
The round nine clash is scheduled for this Saturday.
The Group Three Rugby League competition had a break for the June long weekend.
