The Kempsey Saints junior is in the midst of playing his first season as a goalkeeper and the 13-year-old stepped up to fill-in for an Under-14s match and excelled.
Patrick didn’t concede a goal in the contest and impressed Kempsey Saints president Matt Baker.
“He’s a short kid but he stood up tall in the game, he just flies through the air and saved everything,” Baker said.
Patrick received a $100 voucher for the RSL’s restaurant.
To be considered for the award, simply provide information on the individual’s achievement and send it to callum.mcgregor@fairfaxmedia.com.au.
A sportsperson of the year will be decided upon in January 2019 with an additional voucher of $500 for the restaurant awarded to the winner.
A panel of judges from the Macleay Argus will determine the monthly and year winners of the award.
Nominations need to be submitted by the first day of the next month.
