Kempsey’s Jordan Lennon made an impressive return to the ring as he earned a unanimous victory and claimed the Queensland South East Title in the Heavyweight division.

The 21-year-old was on the front foot for the majority of the contest and took the fight to his opponent.

Lennon recently returned to training and plans to take it up another notch over the coming months.

“Jordan had a bit of time off and focused on a few other things,” Lennon’s father Gordon told the Argus.

“But he’s returned with a bit of hunger for it and has been training really hard.

“Jordan wants to have a few more amateur fights and then try and climb up the ladder, go for state and national titles."

Lennon plans to continue his training and has his eyes set for one day competing as a professional boxer.

Gordon Lennon trains amateur boxers on weekday afternoons at Hudson’s Gym at the end of Dangar St, Kempsey.
