Pseudo Echo is best known for its record hit ‘Funky Town’ which topped the Australian charts in 1986 and also reached number one in Canada, New Zealand and number six in the United States.
The Melbourne formed band also hit the top 20 in the Australian charts with "Listening", "A Beat for You", "Don't Go", "Love an Adventure" and "Living in a Dream".
Lead singer Brian Canham is the sole survivor of the group but told the Argus his new band members provide plenty of energy.
“The new band members are young and brilliant musicians,” Mr Canham said.
“They bring a lot of enthusiasm and they love to create and explore new and old music.”
Mr Canham has been performing for more than three decades but he continues to create new music and doesn’t see an end in sight.
“I still love performing and making new music, I am working on new material and it will be released later this year,” Mr Canham said.
“It’s great to play alongside people who are keen, passionate and love what they do and that allows us to connect with the audience better because they can sense our enjoyment.
“My wife is actively involved and travels with me which makes it easier too.”
Pseudo Echo’s set will consist of all of their classics mixed in with recent singles.
The band members are looking forward to their upcoming tour and playing at the South West Rocks Country Club.
“We can’t wait to get up on stage and show the South West Rocks community an awesome time,” Mr Canham said.
Mr Canham has been working on a book for the past five years and is hoping to complete it in the near future.
