The endorsement was approved at a Nationals Oxley Electorate Council meeting in Macksville today with grassroots support from members across the electorate.
“I am thankful to the Hastings, Macleay, Nambucca and Bellinger Valley Nationals members for their continued support,” Ms Pavey said.
“I am grateful for the support the community has shown me over the last four years and it is an honour to have been preselected as the Nationals candidate for the 2019 State Election.
“The Oxley electorate has benefited from a record investment into infrastructure with roads, hospitals, schools, water and sewerage being improved.”
Ms Pavey said while she was honoured to have represented the Mid North Coast seat, she’d like to think this is just the beginning.
“I want to work to see more services delivered locally,” she said.
“I want to make sure we get more health care services, more GPs, more mental health specialists, more allied health professionals, to work in our new hospitals.
“I want to see our children provided with as much education and employment training as possible, locally, to get the jobs they want.
“While I fought to keep Wauchope, Macksville and Kempsey railway stations to stay open, we need better public transport for our region.
“We live and work in the best place in the world and I will keep fighting for better access to services to ensure the unprecedented investment into infrastructure is being spent in our communities.
“I will continue to work for and with the local community and I hope in March 2019, people will see me as someone who is a fighter, and believe that I am passionate about delivering the best for everyone in Oxley.”
