Hosted by the Macleay Valley Business Chamber and presented by Coastline Credit Union, the awards celebrate and recognise business excellence in the Macleay Valley.
“The Macleay Valley Business Chamber is honoured to host the event for the third consecutive year and to be able to celebrate the hard work of local businesses,” Macleay Valley Business Chamber executive officer Lisa McPherson told the Argus.
“It’s always great to gain an insight into businesses journeys over the past 12 months and their plans for the future.
“In our eyes, everyone who enters is a winner.”
Ms McPherson was delighted with the number of business nominations.
“There were plenty of new businesses to enter this year,” Ms McPherson said.
“There was well over 70 applications which is a very good result and a wonderful response from the community.”
The online public voting process closed on Friday July 6 with thousands of people participating.
Winners will be announced at the awards night this Saturday night at the Slim Dusty Centre.
The level of excellence awards are decided by a panel of judges while a combination of judges scoring and public voting determines the local recognition winners.
The Macleay Valley Business Chamber expressed their gratitude to the community and their sponsors.
“A huge thank you goes out to all of our entrants and the community for participating in the voting process,” Ms McPherson said.
“Another thank you to all of our sponsors, without their support we wouldn’t be able to showcase the businesses, we see them as local champions.
“We are looking forward to a fabulous event.”
Doors open at 6pm and there’s only a limited amount of tickets available.
