The Cannonballs dropped the ball off the kickoff and spent the next 15-minutes camped on their own line as they defended repeated waves of attack.
The Cannonballs conceded one try during that period but the momentum swung once the Cannonballs had the ball in their hands.
The forward pack laid the platform and the backs converted to cross for four first half tries as the Cannonballs held a 26-5 lead at the break.
The Cannonballs went on with the job in the second half as Iulio Tavete completed a hat-trick and was excellent in defence.
Braydon Davis crossed for two tries while Daniel Mills and Lance Byrne each grabbed one.
The Cannonballs face Grafton, who have the advantage of playing at home as their first grade side has the rights to host their preliminary final, this Saturday for a place in the grand final.
Meanwhile the Cannonballs Under-14s and Under-16s will be in action this Saturday while the Under-18s side earned a 23-12 win over the Southern Cross University Marlins to book their place in the grand final.
The grand finals will be played in Port Macquarie the following Saturday.
