The 29-year-old starred, netting 31 goals from 33 attempts, despite having only two training sessions with her team in the lead up to their do-or-die clash with the Queensland lightning.

It was an astonishing performance, as she combined well with her teammates and found open space inside the goal circle, against one of the best defences in the league.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to lift her side to victory as they suffered a 56-51 loss which ends the Vixen’s season as they finished in fifth position.

It was the goal shooter’s first match for the Vixens since 2016 but Commane is hopeful her efforts won’t go unnoticed.

“It opens up a few doors, I put my foot back in there, I definitely would consider a contract to play in the Suncorp Super Netball competition next season whether it’s with the Vixens or other clubs,” Commane told the Argus.

“Opportunities don’t come around very often.”

Commane has been plying her trade for Victorian Netball League side Hawks Netball and helped them qualify for the finals series.

Commane’s focus has returned to claiming the premiership with her Hawks teammates.

“The plan is to finish off the season strong and make a run at winning the whole thing,” Commane said.

“We have a great team and are capable of accomplishing it.”

Commane’s future beyond this season is in the air but she will continue to prepare for a recall to the top grade.

“My off-season depends on a few different things but I will definitely keep working hard,” Commane said.

“I will be in the gym, in the pool doing laps and maintaining my fitness as pre-season always comes around quick.”

Commane encourages everyone to pursue their gaols.

“Everyone can achieve their dreams if they keep working hard,” Commane said.

“I am from a small country town and have been able to do it so anyone can.”

Commane will be in action for the Hawks in the final regular season game against the Geelong Cougars on Wednesday.
