The Kempsey Heights Bowling Club will host a Drought Relief Bowls Day this Saturday August 18, with the proceeds of the event donated to the Macleay Hay Run to help the struggling Aussie farmers.

The bowls tournament will commence at 12.30pm with two games of 11 ends to be played.
Each team will consist of four people with an entry fee of $50 per team.
A raffle and barbecue will also be held with the proceeds contributed to the Macleay Hay Run.
Kempsey Heights Bowling Club secretary manager Kerr Black is proud the club will play its part in supporting the farmers.
“We all need to do our bit to help out, they’re really struggling and we are happy to contribute to the Macleay Hay Run which has already done such an awesome job,” Mr Black told the Argus.

“The men’s and ladies’ Kempsey Heights Bowling Club members hold a weekly raffle on Friday night and they have also made the decision to generously donate the proceeds of the next four weeks raffles to the Macleay Hay Run.
“All of the money raised on the day will be given to the Macleay Hay Run and they can use it where they see fit.”
Teams must be entered by 4pm this Friday.
