Students came to school dressed as their favourite literary icons and engaged in a range of book-related activities throughout the day.
Teachers Louise Daley, Danica Hawkins, Melanie Fraser and Nicola Bernasconi organised the activities for the day that focused on more literary books in the hope to expand the students vocabulary.
“Book Week is about encouraging the enjoyment of reading,” Ms Hawkins said.
“We had our book parade on Monday with activities in the afternoon, Tuesday the students will be buddy reading with each other and book rotations on Wednesday.”
The students were placed in groups and moved around to different classrooms where they read a book and engaged in an activity related to the book including arts and crafts, origami and even using microscopes to examine fibers.
