The show will feature recent work by Ms Alefaio inspired by the different landscapes of the Macleay Valley.
“It’s such a beautiful area. My paintings are inspired by the landscapes and nature of the Macleay,” she said.
The paintings show colourful depictions of familiar landscapes for locals.
“My work is also inspired by Monet, the use of bright colours in landscape scenes.”
This is the first time Ms Alefaio has shown her work at an art show and she said she is looking forward to the experience.
“I’m very excited about it, it’s like a bucket list experience for me. You just have to pursue what you’re passionate about and this is what I’m passionate about.”
The show will begin with a high tea from 4pm to 5pm, followed by a free general admission to the show from 5pm to 7pm next Thursday at the Bank Conference Centre on Belgrave Street.
Tickets for the high tea are $25, to book your place call Lou’s Cafe Restaurant on 6562-4849 or contact Latileta at latileta@hotmail.com
