Closing date for the club’s submission of intention to field this team to North Coast AFL League is early November.
There are many people that have indicated they would like to be part of this team but people will need to turn up and commit if they want the club to field a side next season.
Macleay Valley Eagles committee member Ronda Colliver urges anyone interested to attend a meeting next week.
“Now is your opportunity to commit for the 2019 season,” Colliver said.
“A meeting will be held on Wednesday September 26 at 5.30pm at South Kempsey Oval whereby committed players can register.
“Fees will be minimal to cover the club’s costs for the season. This will not be payable at this meeting.
“If you genuinely can’t make the meeting but want to register your interest please contact Kevin 6566 6217, Paul Lang 0421 484 698 or David Chamberlain 0417 963 740.
“If the numbers are not reached by those who attending the meeting or contacting the above persons then the team will not eventuate. It is up to you now.”
The Macleay Valley Eagles have a strong representation of junior players but they haven’t fielded a senior side in two seasons.
The 2019 North Coast AFL season kicks off in April but pre-season training will commence in the months leading up to the start of the season.
People of all talent and skill levels are encouraged to participate.
