While having to paddle without a full crew in the Men’s and Women’s divisions, both teams showed great resilience and battled on to achieve very credible third placings.
The final event for the day was the prestigious Mixed division where nine teams were competing with the Rats giving away 20 years in age to most of their competitors. Age will never weary the Rats and with a great deal of authority, supremacy and control, the crew flew out of the box and were never headed to secure a convincing win.
The next regatta the club will compete in will be at Bathurst for the first time. A four-day bus trip has been organised to include stopovers in the Hunter Valley wineries and Blue Mountains.
Anyone wishing to join the club and get into the spirit of competing and soclialising, please contact Deirdre 0409667372.
