Lyn was selected into the NSW Over 60s team and they head into the tournament as the defending champions.
Lyn was instrumental in NSW claiming the 2017 national title as she finished the tournament as the top goal scorer.
Lyn has recently returned from Barcelona, Spain, where she represented Australia in the Maters World Cup.
Her team, the Wattles, came third in the round and had to play a final against another Australian team to determine world rankings.
After a hard fought game which ended in a one all draw, the Wattles lost in a shoot out, 2-1.
The two weeks of hockey competition saw men’s and women’s teams from across the world competing in 35 plus age divisions.
The tournament was very competitive, played in extreme heat conditions with some days hitting 42 degrees.
Fitness has been a vital part of Lyn’s preparation for this year’s hockey season.
Lyn plays for Kempsey team, Nulla Allstars, in the Port Macquarie/Hastings competition.
