On Saturday, November 3rd, spectators can watch the best bull riders in the country vie for supremacy in the name of raising money for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.

All the action is taking place at the usual spot of the Kempsey showground, 9 Sea Street, West Kempsey. The gates open at 4pm, and the Bull riders get started at 7pm. 

The event promises, live music, activities for the kids and plenty of entertainment, especially when the bull riding kicks off. 

The family-friendly event is in its 7th year and aims to raise at least $10,000 for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, but the hope is that at least $15,000 can be raised this year to help out this great cause. 

Speaking to the Argus, event organiser and founder Pete Farley said how thankful he was for all the support. 

“I can't be thankful enough for all the sponsors in the community, this doesn't happen without them,” Mr Farley said. 

This show is expected to be bigger and better than ever, as it gradually increases in size and popularity with every year.  

“Every year its growing, and this year should be no different,” Mr Farley commented. 

Last year saw $11,250 raised for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, which increased the overall total for the lifetime of the event to just short of $50,000. 

Tickets at the gate for this year's event start at $15 for kids aged 5 to 15 and $25 for everyone else, 16 and over. There is a family pass available for $70 and kids under five years get in free.
