The school holiday activity was organised by Kempsey Shire Library and is the first time the Club science experiments have been at the library.
Organiser Mary Williams said putting on events for children over the school holidays is always something Kempsey Library wants to do.
“It can be hard to get numbers when it’s such a nice day outside, but it’s good to see them enjoying the experiments,” she said.
“Today is all about using everyday items in science experiments that will open their minds to science in everyday life.”
Kempsey Shire Library also held another school holiday activity last week that saw local kids get hands-on experience with small invertebrate animals such as spiders and beetles.
