The youngsters enjoyed the interactive workshop and discussed safe practices about catching buses safely including: wearing seat belts, requiring supervision when catching the bus until students are at least 10 years of age and highlighting the dangers of blind spots when moving near buses.
Following the bus safety workshop parents were invited to participate in a Cyber-Safety Workshop that focused on what parents can do to keep their children safe in the online environment.
Sixty per cent of students are using technology to get online and they are our most vulnerable members of society.
Online activities are exciting for children but there are very real dangers and risk of harm that exist for children.
These workshops highlight Aldavilla’s ongoing commitment to keeping students safe in our community.
