This recent downpour has driven the total rainfall to 131.8mm in the last 12 days of October.
While it appears to be easing off for the moment, with Friday given a 30 per cent chance of less than 1mm and Saturday only expecting a 60 per cent chance of 1-5mm, Sunday will see a 70 per cent chance of 5-10mm.
The weather could dry out again early next week, but Kempsey is expected to receive another downpour next Wednesday, and there is a chance of more to follow.
For the rest of today, a possible thunderstorm is forecast and an 80 per cent chance of 1-5mm of rain.
So far today has been the wettest in October for 2018, but with nearly two weeks left until November, there is still time for that to be beaten.
