Kempsey Saints improved in the Premier League in the 2018 season as their first grade side reached the finals after finishing seventh in 2017.
Unfortunately Saints were bowed out in the opening weekend of the finals in a 2-0 loss on the road to the Taree Wildcats.
The Saints were the defending premiers in reserve grade and reached the finals after finishing in fourth position.
The side avoided elimination in the opening week of the finals with a convincing 7-1 victory over the Wildcats but they weren’t able to back up that performance the following week when they suffered a 2-0 loss to rivals the Macleay Valley Rangers.
The Saints increased their number of junior teams fielded and also had three teams compete in the Men’s Northern League and two in the Women’s Northern League competition.
