The 21-year-old has given himself a head start as he dropped his latest single ‘Sail Away’ on Thursday night and the song is a taste of what is to come on his new Extended Play (EP) record which will be released early next year.
Josh made the decision to release Sail Away, as he connected most with the song.
“I wanted to release Sail Away first as it is a more developed song of what I have been doing in the past,” Josh said.
“I really like the song and I hope everyone else does too.”
Josh was fortunate to record the song with renowned Birds of Tokyo keyboardist Glenn Sarangapany.
“I record my music at a studio in Sydney with producer Nathan Sheehy and he told me he would be able to hook me up with a couple of other musicians and mentioned he might be able to get Glenn from Birds of Tokyo to play,” Josh said.
“I was just like ‘yep, do that’.
“He’s a brilliant musician and it was an awesome experience to play alongside him.”

After Josh releases his EP in 2019, he is hopeful of touring across Australia.
“Hopefully the EP has a lot of success and I will be able to tour across Australia,” Josh said.
“I plan on 2019 being a breakout year for me.
If a tour is announced, Josh will definitely have South West Rocks on the agenda.
“I would love to play at my hometown,” he said.
Sail Away can be downloaded on iTunes, Spotify and Apple Music. You can also keep up to date with Josh’s music by following him on Facebook.
