Just after 2am on Sunday, police, while en route to a break-in at a local service station, saw a suspicious motor vehicle parked near the Lake Rd medical centre in Port Macquarie.
As police approached, the vehicle left the carpark with no lights on and accelerated into Wyandra Cr before it stopped and four occupants exited the vehicle and ran.
Police were able to apprehend two of those who were attempting to flee and they were both from the Kempsey area.
The white Hyundai Accent they were driving had been stolen earlier in the evening from an address in Gordon St, Port Macquarie.
The vehicle also had two cash floats from a Lake Rd pharmacy in it, along with breaking implements and a large checkered bag of clothing.
Entry had been gained to the pharmacy by smashing the front glass door.
The police will allege the group then attempted to break into the service station and were not successful, although the glass doors were damaged.
Both young persons were charged with carried in a conveyance without the consent of the owner, break and enter dwelling house with intent, and aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence.
They were granted conditional bail to appear in the Port Macquarie Children’s Court on December 3.
