A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for the Macleay region as damaging winds and large hail are expected to hit this afternoon, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
Winds are expected to reach 30km/hr while hail and more than 40mm of rain is expected to fall.

A large area of NSW is expecting rain and possible storms, with the Kempsey Shire expected to be one of the hardest hit.
The weather predictions are a part of a much anticipated cool change which should flush the majority of the heat from the state.
The humid weather was felt by residents and a maximum temperature of 33.1 degrees was reached today, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
The weather is expected to improve tomorrow as the temperature drops and the rain eases, as 1-5mm of rainfall is expected on Thursday.
