A large area of NSW is expecting rain and possible storms, with the Kempsey Shire expected to be one of the hardest hit.
The weather predictions are a part of a much anticipated cool change which should flush the majority of the heat from the state.
The humid weather was felt by residents and a maximum temperature of 33.1 degrees was reached today, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
The weather is expected to improve tomorrow as the temperature drops and the rain eases, as 1-5mm of rainfall is expected on Thursday.
