South West Rocks take a 54-run lead into the second day of action and if the side can back up their bowling performance from day one then they are in with a shot of a massive outright victory.
The upset win has blown the competition wide open, with Nulla previously sitting 14-points clear on the top after only three rounds.
South West Rocks bowler Daniel Tinlin was the difference in the first innings as he picked up six wickets and backed up the performance with the bat, adding a crucial 23 runs to South West Rocks’ total.
Meanwhile Rovers are in position to pick up an outright victory against Stuarts Point/Eungai.
Rovers earned a first innings win after recording 288 before dismissing SPECC for 91 runs.
Rovers will earn the outright victory if can dismiss SPECC for 197 runs or less.
