Judy has lead a Heart Foundation walking group in the community for the past 20 years, there have been a number of long-time members of the group and newcomers over the years.

Members of the group have said “Judy doesn’t let age get in her way”, and she continues to encourage members of the community to join the walking group and highlights the benefits of walking.

Most of the group are younger than their leader, but Judy continues to lead the troops on a 5km walk on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The group members also enjoy a coffee and chat after each session.

Judy celebrated her birthday surrounded by members of the walking group.

It was a happy get-together treating Judy to a special lunch at Roscos Restaurant to mark her special milestone.

Newcomers are always welcome for the Heart Foundation walking group, starting at 7.30am at Riverside Park on every Tuesday and Thursday.
