The club will be part of an eight club competition next year once a $22 affiliation fee is paid.
Doubts over Macleay’s continued viability were raised when the club wasn’t represented at the group’s annual meeting earlier this month. “This means the draw originally put together for next year will probably go ahead,’’ acting Group Three chief executive Barrie Smith said.
Clubs will still vote via e-mail regarding the format of next season’s competition, but Mr Smith believes with the Mustangs now nominating four grades this will be a formality.
All Group Three clubs will have to supply a list of at least 15 players per grade 30 days before the start of the new season.
