While we weren't as hard hit as other areas, there is still a red, smoky aura in the skies above Kempsey with the surrounding landmarks such as the Great Dividing Range being barely visible today.

Areas in regional NSW are still experiencing some dust, but it appears the worst of the storm has passed for now.
According to Weatherzone, we have 18km winds predicted for this afternoon and with the Macleay region drying out in the hot sun, there is potential for more dust to obstruct the skies for a little while longer.
In Sydney, the weather event has caused delays at the airport and Paramatta North has been declared Hazardous by the government's website.
Stranger still, a freak cold front has dropped an out of season snowfall in alpine regions, including our nation's capital.
The NSW Health Health Departments is still advising anyone in affected areas with respiratory difficulties such as Asthma to be on guard until the cloud has blown over.
We will all just have to wait and see what will happen over the next few days.
