It will now be held tomorrow instead – with the gates open from 5.30 and the main show from 6.30 to 8.30.
“We spent hours trying to set up to no avail. Our music stands kept blowing over and the tarps we put up to protect us all ripped,” Kempsey Silver Band member Simone Farrell said.
But the show will go ahead on Tuesday – with food from local community groups available, plus carol singing, stalls and heaps of activities for children.
A gold coin donation at the door will support the Silver Band.
