A brilliant bowling performance from Oliver Hackenberg has led South West Rocks to an important victory over Nulla in the Macleay Valley Cricket Association’s first grade competition.

Hackenberg picked up five wickets from his 4.2 overs and allowed only 16 runs.
The bowling of Hackenberg and his teammates led to Nulla being dismissed for 122, 36-runs short of South West Rocks’ total of 158.
The victory lifted South West Rocks back into equal first position with Nulla.
Brad Schubert (30), Liam Askew (28) and Jesse Meehan (26) were the top scorers for South West Rocks with the bat.
Meanwhile Nulla’s Angus Crotty (54), Matt Haydon (30) and Adam Stutz (14) were the only Nulla batsmen to reach double figures.
In the other game, Rovers made easy work of Stuarts Point/Eungai as they earned a 100 run victory.
Allan Hutley (5/18) and Bradley Dyet (4/23) were the pick of the bowlers for Rovers while Bretty Hutley (65) top scored with the bat.
