Connor Gainge was the hero for Stuarts Point/Eungai as the batsman reached an unbeaten 97 to help his side reach 5/221.
Steve Moorcroft (57) and Josh Hocking (22) also chimed in with the bat.
Rovers came out firing in their run chase and opener Josh Colling (94) fell six runs short of a century.
Jack Bennett (36), Jack Powick (20 not out) and Ethan Dowling (18) put Rovers within striking distance but ultimately Stuarts Point/Eungai did enough to hold on for the valuable victory.
Meanwhile in the other first grade match, Nulla earned revenge against South West Rocks in a 10 run victory.
An unbeaten 74 from Angus Crotty contributed to Nulla’s total of 162 with Adam Stutz (33) and Matt Haydon (19) also playing a role with the bat.
South West Rocks started their run chase on the right foot as Liam Askew reached 30 before Brad Schubert scored a quick fire 58.
Unfortunately for South West Rocks the loss of wickets dried up their runs and they were unable to surpass Nulla’s total.
The win for Nulla puts them eight points ahead on the competition ladder while South West Rocks remain in second position as Rovers suffered a surprising defeat.
Nulla will face off with rivals Rovers next week while South West Rocks do battle with Stuarts Point/Eungai.
