The water divisions were held on Saturday, with competitors reverting to the sand on Sunday.
Wauchope-Bonny Hills, Port Macquarie, Tacking Point, Camden Haven, Hat Head, Kempsey-Crescent Head and South West Rocks were all represented in most divisions.
Approximately 280 competitors were entered in all the races, ranging from flags to sprints on the sand.
Water events for under-8 to under-14s were cancelled on Saturday with the competition committee deeming conditions were unsafe for those age groups.
Those age groups will be re-run at a later date.
The carnival was moved from Flynns Beach due to the red weed.
