At the Kempsey Golf Club last Saturday Murray Addison took full advantage of the top conditions in the morning to compile a very good score of 44 points to take out the ‘B’ grade in the Celebrations 18-hole Medley Single Stableford event which saw a very good field of 85 players hit off.

On the day which was the second Saturday of the month and a day sponsored by Celebrations there was again a good number of visitors in the field and with the course playing very true the scores in each grade were very good.
With Addison the winner in ‘B’ the runner up with a score of 40 points on a count back was the lower Macleay farmer from Upper Kinchlea Peter Ennis who produced one of his better rounds.
After the holidays Natasha Norton has finally found her game and put together a round of 42 points to claim the ‘C’ grade victory on Saturday from Campbell Hoskins who had a round of 38 points.
In the top grade on Saturday the winner with a round of 40 was Glen Tuckwell from our former club champion Rick Nicholson recorded a round of 37 points for the runner up spot on the day.
With the big field of 85 players there was a good number of balls handed out and the winners were players with a score of 35 points on a countback who received a ball on the day and they can be collected from the pro shop at the club anytime along with any unclaimed vouchers from the event.
Tomorrow will see the Members hit off in the 18 hole Medley Single Stableford event which will again be sponsored be Celebrations and any visitors still in the area are most welcome to play. All intending players can book in now at the club or go online to book in for your round.
The club is now taking names for the upcoming 2019 Volkswagen Scramble which will be held on Sunday February 17.
All entries must meet the handicap criteria and be paid for at time of entry. Give the club a call to find out more information about the event which is open to all golfers with a GA handicap.
A reminder to all players to keep in mind the upcoming 2019 Boardshorts Day which will be on Saturday February 9 as a 18 hole Single Stableford event with all players playing in there best Boardshorts on the day.
