A MAN has been charged after police allegedly located more than 1000 cannabis plants at a property near Kempsey.

About 9.10am yesterday, officers from the Mid North Coast Police District executed a search warrant at a property at Carrai.
During a search of the property and the immediate area, officers allegedly located eight plots containing 1064 cannabis plants, 100 litres of cannabis oil and 10kg of cannabis leaf.
Police also seized three firearms, a large amount of ammunition, two motorbikes and one quad bike.
A man was arrested was taken to Kempsey Police Station and charged with 13 offences:
cultivate prohibited plant (large commercial quantity)
supply prohibited drug (large commercial quantity)
manufacture prohibited drug (large commercial quantity)
supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity)
goods suspected stolen in/on premises (x3)
possess unregistered firearm-not prohibited firearm/pistol (x2)
possess unauthorised firearm
possess ammunition without holding licence/permit
Not keep firearm safely-not prohibited firearm
possess prohibited drug
He was refused bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court today.
