The February weed bash will focus its efforts just south of Delicate Campground on Point Plomer Road and please note carefully, the change in work location will mean a change in meeting point. It will now be opposite the entrance of Waves Campground, just a little further south of the Delicate Campground.
The first session will be Tuesday, February 12 at 8:30am. Start time will return to the usual 8:30am and the work site will be where NPWS has already made some attempts to get rid of bitou bush north of the beach path. As usual a morning tea to satisfy the thirst and hunger of participants will be on offer after a couple of hours beautification.
What won’t be usual will be the absence of Peter Murphy and we shall be thinking of him and his great voluntary efforts following his untimely passing earlier this year.
As always any extra help is much appreciated and we love seeing new faces so volunteers are most welcome and no experience is necessary. Please kit yourself out in a long sleeved shirt, long pants, enclosed shoes, a sunhat, gardening gloves, if you have them, and bring some water. Other equipment is supplied.
