The library team will recommence its regular programs and events next week with the return of the monthly Baby Bounce, Storytime, and Lego Builders sessions, and Friends of Kempsey Library (FOLK) Book Sale.
The popular Baby Bounce program resumes on Friday February 8 at 10.30am with half an hour of songs, rhymes and stories for newborns to three-year-olds. Everyone is welcome to come and join in the fun and there is no need to book ahead.
Storytime is aimed for children aged 3-6 years to help develop early literacy skills and resumes on Friday February 22 at 10:30am.
This month’s Storytime book will be “Wilfred Gordon McDonald Partridge” by Mem Fox and grandparents are invited to join us as part of the 2019 Macleay Seniors Festival.
The Book Sale will also return on Friday February 22 at 9.30am after a two-month break with plenty of books on offer, including a large number of children’s and picture books.
The book sales are co-ordinated by the dedicated FOLK with all funds raised used to assist the library with the provision of resources promoting literacy.
Targeted at children aged 2-4 years, Lego Builders helps develop early literacy and STEM skills by incorporating building activities with LEGO. The sessions have moved to the third Thursday of each month and will resume at 10.30am on Thursday February 21.
The Library also has some special events planned as part of the 2019 Macleay Seniors Festival from February 13-14
