The warm conditions continued into afternoon as the temperature was 35.9 degrees at 4pm.
The hottest February day in Kempsey on record is 46.7 degrees, according to weatherzone, on February 12, 2017.
Another hot day is expected tomorrow with the temperature predicted to reach 34 degrees, according to Weatherzone.
South West Rocks also experienced the heat today as the temperature peaked at 36 degrees, according to Weatherzone.
The temperature is predicted to be 31 degrees in South West Rocks tomorrow but there’s a 70 per cent chance of an afternoon shower which will help cool down the region.
