Despite the heat students loved spending the day at the pool and diving into the water was a welcomed relief.
Port Macquarie Adventist School principal Joyanne Walsh said all students had a great time at the pool.
“We had all the regular strokes, backstroke, freestyle, butterfly and breaststroke along with a few relays,” Ms Walsh said.
“The students that do well here will qualify for the zone swimming competition later in year so there is a little bit of competition.
“But mostly all the students are having fun and cheering on their friends as they swim in the pool."
