Wauchope were credited with the victory due to their superior position in the match.
Nulla captain Ben Taylor was happy with the decision and said Wauchope deserved the victory.
"Wauchope batter extremely well. They’re a very competitive side and they’ll be right in the mix this year," Taylor said.
"Once the ball stopped swinging it was a hard slog in the heat and Nathan Lyon batted better than I’ve seen him bat.
"It was a big total to chase. Bryce Widdison batted well for us to give us a change but Wauchope were good with the ball and snuck their overs through in iffy conditions to get a deserved win."
Nulla, who are last on the ladder and out of the finals picture, face United at Chatham Park this Saturday.
