A group from the Nambucca Valley Women's Business Network (NVWB) travelled down to the Macleay Valley Community Art Gallery at Gladstone for the International Women's day art exhibition.
They were joined by sister group, the Macleay Valley Women's Business Network at the gallery where they admired the talented artist's works on display.
"We noticed how cheap the prices of the artworks were. Later on in the evening, the curator of the art gallery made mention of the inexpensive prices, and said that women tend to undervalue themselves and what they produce, sometimes by half as much or more than how men value themselves and their art," NVWB said.
The NVWB will be meeting at the Headland Cafe at Valla Beach for this month's meeting on April 11 at 7am. Sharon Chisholm, Business Mindset coach and mental health advocate will be the keynote speaker, and Nerida Blackford, marriage celebrant, will be the member speaker.
Tickets are available here and cost $25 for members and $30 for guest members.
