Year after year the Kempsey Show gives life to the town's vibrant culture, celebrates local personalities and brings the community together in celebration.
This year will be no different, with a number of new and exciting attractions and events heading to the Kempsey Showground.
President of the Kempsey Show Society, Donna Clarke, said the new attractions will be a delight for locals.
"There are a heap of new events that we're excited about this year, it's going to be a great show," she said.
Some of the new attractions and events heading to the show this year are an all female demolition derby, fat pig competition, cattle dog trials, a tractor and implement display and a wood chopping competition.
There will also be everyone's favourite attractions including the Miss Showgirl competition, dog jumps, horse events, animal farms, poultry competition, male demolition derby, flower and plant display, trotters and artwork displays as well as all of the delicious carnival food and rides galore!
"We've also had some donations from local businesses for a big raffle so we'll be doing that as well," Ms Clarke said.
"There will also be representatives from Norco selling flavoured milk, which we haven't had for a long time at the show.
"The big event is going to be the all female demolition derby. We decided to have one this year because last year a female won against the men and there has been an interest from locals in having an all female event."
There will also be a free dressage event on Sunday April 28 that all locals are invited to come along to at the showgrounds.
The 2019 show will be officially opened by the Federal Minister for Agriculture David Littleproud and will run from Tuesday April 30 to Wednesday May 1.
