For the past two years the Valla-based alternative educational charity has used qualified mentors to run sports and recreation, arts, culture, education and holistic development activities and programs.
The FRRR grant will cover costs for a much-needed resource shed, a year's supply of resources, and a qualified mentor for two days per week.
These additional days will be referred to as the 'Young Innovators Hub', where children instigate hands-on projects and develop ideas together in a supportive environment.
This program is set to kick off in Term 3.
