The training for the use of the defibrillator was undertaken at the Lions Club Headquarters in Crescent Head and was well attended by Malibu Club members and Waves Campground staff.
Defibrillators are an essential part of the toolkit when providing an initial response to anyone experiencing cardiac arrhythmia.
Surfers and other persons using the coast in these relatively isolated areas are often required to provide initial first aid to those who experience cardiac issues.
It is reassuring that up to date training and equipment is on hand to deal with these eventualities.
Kit Sudgen the owner of the privately owned eco-friendly campground is glad they will be better prepared to respond to an emergency.
"With the equipment and four trained personnel onsite we are confident we will be able to respond in the case of an emergency," Sudgen said.
Defibrillators are now located at the Crescent Head Caravan Park, the Crescent Head Malibu Club, Crescent Head Country Club and now the Waves Campground.
