The Year 8 team from St Paul's College won the Year 7/8 Mid North Coast Da Vinci Decathlon in Port Macquarie earlier this week.

The Da Vinci Decathlon was held at St Columba's Anglican School in Port Macquarie on Tuesday May 7.
The victorious team from Kempsey consisted of Tristen Ardetti, Nat Fletcher, Olivia Connor, Olivia Dunbar, Isabelle Capararo Ebony Vella, Samantha Brenton and Lily Rafton.
The Da Vinci Decathlon is an academic competition designed to challenge and stimulate the minds of school students.
There were 25 schools in the competition ranging from Coffs Harbour down to Taree.
It was a great effort from the team with St Paul's taking out four of the 10 academic cateories including science, creative producers, english, ideation, engineering, art and poetry, mathematics, cartography, code breaking and general knowledge.
The team had a total score of 1530 out of 2000.
The win for St Paul's College means they now qualify for the NSW Da Vinci Decathlon final later in the year.
