The rugby league prodigy has had a standout 2019 season which has included representative honours and his first grade debut for the Macleay Valley Mustangs.
The fullback, who can play anywhere in the backline, was also selected into the Northern NSW Country Catholic Colleges and will represent the side in Sydney later this month with selection into the Australian Schoolboys side up for grabs.
Since making his first grade debut against the Port Macquarie Sharks in round two, Parkinson has also started in the centres against the Wingham Tigers and Forster-Tuncurry Hawks.
The 17-year-old also plays in the Under-18.5s side, as he has been playing two full games for his hometown club.
For his selection as Sportsperson of the Month, Kaine received a $100 voucher for the RSL's restaurant.
